I have oily sensitive skin with enlarged pores which is very prone to breakouts and easily tanned. When I go out under the harsh Singapore Sun I turn pink and dark and it's so frustrating because it happens only to my face. -_-|||
Al-right I shall stop blabbering again.
Here's the review:
PS, Acronyms: TT-Tea Tree, AS-Apple Seed
I use toner and moisturiser right after washing my face while I only use the serum at night before sleep.
I tried the TT and AS lines according to this table:
The TT line suits me better. The AS line was oilier (specifically the AS serum) and I did not really notice any visible brightening results.

Of course I know that the result differs from people to people with other factors to be taken into account but yeah, it didn't work for me. After I finished the AS line I switched back to the TT line.

Facial Wash
I used the facial wash from the TT and the Rose line. Both does their respective uses well enough I guess. Personally I feel that the TT one does not cleanse as deeply as I want it to even though there are beads in it. But as compared to the Rose one, I think the TT one obviously better.
Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Foaming Wash EX
TT: micro beads, cooling sensation
Rose: hydrating, skin feels a little tighter after wash
Masks
I tried the ones from AS, Rose and Magnolia. I love the Rose one. It is seriously the most hydrating and it doesn't cause me to have any breakouts. The others, sad to say, did not meet up to my expectations. The AS one did not have any visible whitening effect (to me) and the Magnolia one was supposed to do brightening and firming. Sure It had the hooks for the ear to lift the skin under the chin up but I did not really feel any improvement effects after doing my mask. I think the main point about applying masks is hydrating your face skin, no?

I tried 3 different types of BB creams and this is my favourite, the Narcissus one.The coverage is average even after multiple layers but I did not have any breakouts from this. The AS one was really "dry" and difficult to apply. The coverage was good but it makes me look kinda sappy up close. A little breakout but acceptable weighing it with the coverage. The TT one on the other hand was too oily for my liking. It is in liquid form where you have to shake and pour the mixture out through a tip, the coverage is not very good but does not worsen current pimples.

Other Special Care
Tea Tree Night Jelly
It has a mask type of sensation, cooling first then warm due to body heat. It did not do any wonders to my face or my pimples like other commentators had claimed.
Peeling Gel
Doesn't work as well as it claims to do.

Tea Tree Oil Out Target Treatment
This product really deserves a recommendation. It works well and is not as harsh as the Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop. My pimples are really the huge and scary type with trapped oil/pus that block pores. This works. It has a cooling sensation when applied. The only downside is that it has a pour-out tip so you may accidentally spill it all over if you ain't looking. just need to be more careful!
[ampm] All Day No Shine Sebum Balancer
This baby really slows down the build-up of sebum. Except that I have an oily T-zone and it causes pimples to my non-oily area. You know, I kinda imagine my face to have an oily T-zone with all the other areas being sensitive skin. So I only apply this to the T-zone.
[ampm] All Day No Shine Sebum Balancer, A30 Pore Minimising Complex
[ampm] A30 Pore Minimising Complex
This was to minimise my enlarged pores but...I don't seem to see a difference? Maybe you have to use it for longer...? It's a bit oily but easily applicable, more so as compared to the Narcissus BB cream I was talking about.
All in all, Naruko is a really affordable (unlike some other exorbitantly priced brands) and eco-friendly brand (all the boxes can be recycled and turned into stationary holders). It works even though it is quite cheap and there ain't any unwanted ingredients like parabens inside. There are definitely no regrets in using Naruko.
Phew~ That was long!
I'm off to get my beauty sleep before tiring TGIF clinicals tomorrow in CT room!
