Veggie dislikes

I'm on holiday and have nothing much to do so this is a return on my #randomness streak.

Well, with both my parents being vegetarians for over 10 years, I have eaten my fair share of fresh produce.
I don't mean to be picky but.....I really hate some kinds of vegetables.

-.-

Capsicums make the entire dish stink of their peculiar taste and smell. Even though I'm okay with them in pizzas, it's a major turn-off in other dishes, especially when you put all three colours at one go. Sure it's colourful but it makes the dish inedible to me.

Lady's fingers are another mortal enemy. What's with their sticky insides? (I think a part of the reason for dislike was also this time when I went for volunteering in an old folks' home, they made us cut up lady's fingers and throw them in a huge dirty plastic crate. With ants. THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOOD FOR THE....) 'Nuff said.

Brussel sprouts are another thing I don't understand. They look perfectly edible, like mini cabbages. But they have to turn out bitter.

Alfalfa sprouts are next. When my mum first bought this (I don't know who gave her that idea), we (me, my sisters and my dad) were supposed to have them with Thousand Island salad dressing. We all took a bite and cemented our dislike for them straight away. If it wasn't for my mum's insistence and annoying persistence, we would have thrown them away.

Sprouts seem to be my mortal enemies right. Except for bean sprouts that I totally love, lentil sprouts I definitely do not.

Brinjal/Egg-plant are fine only if you cook them soft enough and if the sauce is great. Other than that, no thanks.

I think this is a bit more ambiguous, depends on which you cook it with. Alone, celery tastes too raw
for me.

I think the worst thing you can do to the veggies are to blend them and intake them. Just don't make me drink that concoction. I'll kill you first.

Wow. I seem to have accumulated a whole list of them. There may be more but I can't seem to think straight now.

Until laters!
